Citi Treasury Investments (CTI) operates within Corporate Treasury. CTI invests in high quality liquid securities (HQLA) and Non HQLA securities as governed by Asset and Liability Committee (ALCO), to meet various regulatory liquidity requirements, manage the firm's interest rate risk and improve returns in accordance with the Non-Trading Market Risk Management (NTMR) limit framework as well as manage the Firm’s funding and share repurchase programs. The Treasury Funding and Investments Intermediate Analyst will support CTI and drive the production needs and lead various workstreams related to investment of Citi’s major liquidity portfolios and raise long term debt and capital as well as the return of capital to shareholders through a share repurchase program, in coordination with the Treasury Funding and investments team. The overall objective is the process of management and execution of the CTI portfolio including management of the USD interest rate risk for Citi’s accrual business (i.e., banking book, ex trading), the USD and Non-USD derivative programs, as well as third party funding and internal US dollar funding to various legal entities & businesses.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate Business Execution activities including business management desk support, process and control enhancements as well as project management and strategic initiatives.
  • Assist in preparing agenda, metrics, presenting updates and creating material and minutes in the Monthly Business Management Forums.
  • Provide support to all CTI Desks regarding all aspects of transaction flows and controls.
  • Coordination lead for Internal Audits, NTMR Risk Reviews and Compliance.
  • Provide support with Risk & Controls team to assist CTI maintain and enhance an effective internal control’s structure.
  • Organize and monitor CTI business level attestations.
  • Assist in providing oversight for CTI issues, CAPs and Scorecard Impacts. Working with desks to ensure closure materials are sufficient and appropriately documented.
  • Adhere to the firm's Booking Policy. Provide quarterly review of booking controls to booking principles. Provide booking model updates and metrics. Annual Booking Practice Document refresh and obtain approval.
  • Partner with Risk & Controls team to maintain and enhance an effective internal control’s structure.
  • Be a Lead to support Business Execution activities including desk support and control enhancements as well as project management and strategic initiatives.
  • Participate in managing liquidity and interest rate risk, the capital/legal entity structure and capital planning as well as managing rating agency relationships.
  • Involved in capital markets activities including commercial paper and securitization; liquidity, accrual risk oversight and transfer pricing.
  • The position will require both individual analytical work as well as partnership across teams to identify solutions to business inquiries in a timely manner and own the implementation / execution steps to autonomous drive open issues to completion.
  • Direct project prioritization, platform direction, and future state planning and strategic direction.
  • Exposure into various facets of Risk and Finance Processes within Citi; interacting with various levels within the organization.
  • Author BRD, FRD, project plans, and lead testing execution
  • Chairing weekly working group meetings with stakeholders across CTI trading desks, product control, risk, operations & technology

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency, passion for results and personal accountability for achievement.
  • Basic Understanding of Treasury, Funding, Investments and Markets along with understanding of regulatory, compliance, risk management and financial management concerns
  • Attention to detail.
  • Able to navigate through a large organization to streamline and summarize multiple information points and create repeatable processes to build consistency in presenting information.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and tasks in a complex and dynamic and work well as part of a team.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
