The Enterprise Data Office (EDO) organization drives and enforces data quality across Citi. The EDO will define and enforce data-related policies and standards across Citi and equip the firm with the tools required to take ownership and accountability for data governance and management. This is achieved through setting the Citi Data Governance Policy (CDGP), defining Citi Data Governance Standards and providing a governance framework for data ownership and data quality throughout Citi. The EDO is the sponsor for the overall data quality program at Citi and associated Board reporting.

Job Summary

The Senior Analyst, Data Quality & Operational Excellence, is a key individual contributor role focused on enhancing Citi's data quality and driving operational excellence within the Data Exception Management Team of the Enterprise Data Office (EDO) organization. This role contributes significantly to regulatory deliverables and the overall data integrity of the firm. This role is expected to apply in-depth disciplinary knowledge to improve data quality and within their purview. The role requires strong analytical skills to filter and validate complex material, coupled with excellent communication and diplomacy for effective cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute Data Quality Strategy: Devise methods for identifying data patterns and trends; executing strategies for data quality, scorecards, and reporting; deliver data quality assessments for critical data used in strategic systems; and analyze measurement results.
  • Drive Data Governance & Tooling: Collaborate with functional partners and technology teams to identify and implement data quality tooling, critical data elements, rules, and thresholds. Ensure scorecards measure fit-for-purpose data by interacting with business and technical staff and assist in the remediation of Audit and Regulatory feedback.
  • Deliver Simplification & Process Reengineering: Design and execute business simplification and process reengineering strategies across the EDO. This includes supporting global standardization, process re-engineering efforts, and delivering efficiencies by analyzing current and target state models, and recommending changes to operating and organizational models.
  • Execute Strategic Planning & Business Management: Proactively prioritize and plan change initiatives across businesses in collaboration with functional stakeholders and senior leadership. Drive solutions while providing the appropriate levels of transparency and communication.
  • Risk Management & Compliance: Support a risk management-based approach for organizational strategy execution. Ensure initiatives align with established control frameworks, promoting control automation, reducing manual reliance, and mitigating overall risk. Appropriately assess risk in business decisions, safeguarding Citigroup's reputation, clients, and assets by ensuring compliance with laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment, and transparently escalating and reporting control issues.
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties and functions as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of overall experience
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of how own area and others collectively integrate to contribute towards achieving business objectives.
  • Provide in depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions.
  • Work and coordinate with a multi-disciplinary group of business leads, operations managers, technologists, and senior level management.
  • Coordinate and plan work activities, meetings and other tasks that demonstrate leadership with measurable results.
  • Support reengineering efforts in business's methodology, strategy, and organizational goals.
  • Apply/demonstrate advanced understanding of processes, procedures, and policies for aligned business.
  • Experience working with Data Quality standards and practices.
  • 5-8 years of experience in business analytics.
  • Experience with Ab Initio, ETL, Unix, Linux, MicroStrategy, SQL and MS Office Suite is preferred.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
