Tableau and Data Analytics Engineer Assistant Vice President

The CTS Enterprise Analytical Services (EAS) organization is actively seeking an Engineering Senior Analyst with a strong background in data analysis and report/dashboard development. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills and proven development experience in SQL, Java, or Python. This role involves contributing to the architecture, engineering, and delivery of best-in-class Business Intelligence (BI) services for Citi, from initial proof-of-concept through to production. Experience leveraging data visualization tools, particularly Tableau, in BI product development is essential.
Responsibilities:
• Demonstrate proficiency in SQL and data visualization technologies, with a strong preference for Tableau.
• Analyze and understand engineering requirements for building, maintaining, and operating BI systems throughout their lifecycle.
• Design and develop comprehensive dashboards and reports to optimize and manage internal processes and operations.
• Establish and maintain continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, including robust testing and monitoring, to ensure reliable and measurable BI solutions.
• Drive innovation by taking ownership of solution design, and building blueprints, prototypes, and frameworks for new capability enablement.
• Collaborate with diverse cross-functional teams to curate a portfolio of recommended capabilities for use in new analytical product developments across Citi's lines of business.
• Publish and disseminate best practices, configuration guidelines, design patterns, tool/technology selection methodologies, and operational playbooks for both engineering and end-user communities.
• Implement and secure hybrid cloud solutions for Business Intelligence products.
• Deploy and integrate Business Intelligence products on external cloud platforms (SaaS or PaaS) with various cloud and on-premise data sources.
• Develop reusable security and deployment frameworks for both cloud-based and on-premise Business Intelligence services.
• Automate manual processes to enhance service offerings and accelerate deployments.
• Document technical requirements and actively participate in acceptance testing processes.
• Build, monitor, and optimize data pipelines to ensure reliability, performance, and scalability.
• Write and maintain automated test cases to ensure code quality and coverage.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of overall IT experience.
• 2+ years of experience as a Business Intelligence tool developer or administrator.
• 1+ year of programming experience (e.g. SQL, Java, Python).
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker), Kubernetes, and cloud architectures, including exposure to public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP).
• Knowledge of the Hadoop ecosystem, including experience with Hive, Spark, etc., is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with strong written and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to interact effectively with clients and cross-functional teams.
• Proven team player who actively shares knowledge, participates in cross-training, and demonstrates a keen interest in learning new technologies and products.
• Ability to produce high-quality documentation.
• Capable of working effectively in a matrixed environment while adhering to established procedures, processes, and policies.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Self-starter with minimal supervision required, capable of collaborating effectively within diverse teams and geographies.
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s/University degree or equivalent experience required.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:
$87,280.00 - $130,920.00
