Junior Banking Operations Analyst

Junior Banking Operations Analyst is a junior level role responsible for execution of transactions and participation in complex processes. The overall objective is to act as a subject matter expert while processing all regular transfers, payments and trade transactions.
Responsibilities:
Process domestic and cross-border transactions within different payment schemes, including outgoing, incoming and internal payments.
Ensure transactions are processed efficiently, act as a SME (subject matter expert) and recommend process improvements.
Evaluate and recommend solutions to problems through data analysis, experience on the job and procedural knowledge.
Oversee pending cases and ensure that all unresolved cases are brought to completion.
Perform daily reconciliation and matching of Nostro items, following up on outstanding items.
Anticipate and respond to requests for deliverables with internal and external clients/vendors.
Contribute to and collaborate with Fund Transfer Operations projects as needed.
Develop an understanding of how the Fund Transfer Operations team interacts with others in accomplishing objectives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s/University degree

Preferably 1-2 years of experience in finance/banking sector, such as:
Payments execution
Funds settlements
Investment Operations
Basic knowledge of financial industry products
Attention to detail and accuracy
SWIFT knowledge would be a plus
Ability to handle and manage large volumes of data
Advanced level of English (both verbal and written)
