Role Overview
We are seeking an exceptionally skilled and experienced Assistant Vice President, Project Manager/Business Analyst to lead and deliver large-scale, transformative technology projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong track record of successful project execution, coupled with outstanding communication abilities and a deep understanding of AI tooling. This role demands a highly organized, nimble, and flexible individual capable of navigating complex stakeholder environments, ensuring best-in-class project governance, and possessing significant capital markets or futures derivatives market knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership & Delivery: Lead the end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale, transformative technology projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, on-time delivery, and within budget.
- Business Analysis: Conduct thorough business analysis to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables, translating complex business needs into clear, actionable project plans and technical specifications.
- Stakeholder Management & Communication: Serve as a key liaison between technical teams, business units, and senior leadership, including chairing high-stakes stakeholder meetings with Managing Director-level participants.
- Meeting Governance: Implement and enforce best-in-class meeting governance practices, including meticulous pre-meeting preparation, development of comprehensive meeting materials, and efficient post-meeting artifact distribution.
- Tooling Proficiency: Leverage advanced proficiency in AI tools to drive innovative solutions, improve project efficiencies, and enhance analytical capabilities.
- Agile Adaptability: Demonstrate nimbleness and flexibility in adapting to diverse technology projects and programs, regardless of size or complexity, embracing new methodologies and technologies as required.
- Documentation & Reporting: Ensure all project documentation, progress reports, and stakeholder communications are clear, concise, accurate, and readily accessible using platforms like Jira and Confluence.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans to ensure project continuity and success.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in project management and business analysis roles, with substantial experience in large-scale, transformative projects within a complex organizational environment.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated experience in managing high-level stakeholders, including executive leadership and managing directors.
- PMP, Agile, or other relevant certifications are highly desirable.
Required Skills & Proficiencies
- Project Management: Expert-level proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and tools.
- Communication: Stellar written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences and facilitate productive discussions at all organizational levels.
- AI Tooling: Extremely proficient with various AI tools and concepts, with a clear understanding of their application in enhancing project delivery and business intelligence.
- Collaboration Tools: Advanced proficiency in Jira for project tracking and management, and Confluence for documentation and knowledge sharing.
- Office Productivity: Expert-level proficiency with the Microsoft O365 application suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Domain Knowledge: Sufficient capital markets or Futures Derivatives markets knowledge.
- Leadership: Strong leadership qualities, including strategic thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution.
- Adaptability: Highly adaptable and resilient, capable of thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Governance: Exceptional organizational skills with a strong focus on process, governance, and quality control, especially in meeting management.
