The Technology Lead Business Analyst is a senior-level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop creative technical solutions to meet business needs and manage complex, high volume applications in partnership with business partners and stakeholders
  • Manage multiple work stream and applications across geographies for Credit Initiation and Onboarding
  • Contribute to formulation of strategies/processes for Product Road map, Development and Governance and contribute to defining standards and new automation initiatives
  • Develop communication to guide, influence and convince others, including colleagues in other areas and external customers
  • Provide advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business and filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex material from multiple sources
  • Supervise day-to-day staff management issues, including resource management, work allocation, mentoring of onsite and offsite resources and other duties and functions as assigned
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of experience in business analysis or systems analysis
  • Demonstrated expertise in presenting and using planning tools
  • Proven diplomatic and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to manage complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact by weighing various action plans and balancing potentially conflicting needs

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master's degree preferred
Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement Global requirements for Market Treasury business, Participate actively with Development design and deliver the projects/solutions on time with high quality under planned budget.

  • Work on development, manage the work-slate and implementation of business functionalities across the globe in Market Treasury Technology systems

  • This involves coordinating with Regional Business managers across Asia/CEEMEA/LATAM regions, understand the requirements, managing the expectations and delivering the changes within the timelines agreed.

  • Lead/Manage large global projects for MT involving cross-functional and multi-geographic teams

  • Interaction with Trading desks, Business managers, Operations, PCU, Market Risk, Operations teams to understand and record requirements and execute project plans and all steps of end-to-end process.

  • Assist in creating functional requirement documents, prioritize with business, co-ordinate with development team, execute user acceptance testing and ensure quality delivery of software solution to the business.

  • Ability to understand business requirements and suggest alternative solutions, wherever already available, else translate into a functional requirement, investigate regional nuances to arrive at a comprehensive solution, ensure it is acceptable to all regional business teams, discuss in detail with Technology teams, considering specific customizations required in each country/region wherever compulsory.

  • Collaborate and Partner closely with program managers, development leads, test leads and production support teams to ensure that software is tested and implemented to highest quality.

  • Prepare and present status reports to Senior Business and Technology senior managers on different Global and regionals committees.

  • Partner with Technology teams across Macro and the wider Citi Technology group to leverage best practices to drive quality across the software development life cycle.

Qualifications

  • Multiple years of experience in Banking Industry with Treasury focus

  • Experience on software solutions for Treasury applications with focus on MM, Bonds and derivatives.

  • Good understanding of risk calculation of MM products

  • Deep background and exposure to banking systems and their interfaces with multiple other systems and handling end- to-end flows.

  • Ability to understand customer business process and requirements and translate into a functional requirement across a wide array of products and technologies

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation of complex information and data) in presenting /participating in forums with Senior managers

  • Ability to draft Use Cases, Process Flows, and Activity Diagrams

  • Expertise in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio

  • Basic understanding of DB query to aid the analysis

  • Ability to understand diverse views and requirements and be able to suggest practicable and acceptable solutions

  • Ability to track multiple issues, effectively manage time and competing priorities, and to drive results

  • Relationship management skills - ability to develop and sustain positive partnerships and be a team player
