Job Title: Senior Technical Program Manager
Duration: 12+ months
Location: Nashville, TN, Seattle, WA, OR, Remote
Pay Rate Range: $70/hr - $75/hr
Description:
- Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) DataTech team is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) to drive the development of mission-critical solutions that serve the health and safety of over 1.4 million employees worldwide.
- As a Senior TPM, you will lead complex, cross-functional programs focused on improving safety through technology. You will play a pivotal role in requirement gathering, stakeholder alignment, and program execution for a high-impact product actively used across the majority of fulfillment centers.
- You will serve as the technical bridge across product, engineering, and business teams—translating high-level business goals into actionable technical deliverables, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring on-time delivery of scalable and reliable solutions.
- You may also engage directly with end users (e.g., field safety teams, operations managers) to conduct interviews, assess usability gaps, and propose product improvements including UI/UX patterns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with WHS stakeholders to define and gather requirements for a high-availability, global product supporting health and safety operations.
- Drive the program lifecycle: roadmap planning, requirements management, project execution, and delivery.
- Collaborate closely with software engineers, scientists, designers, and business stakeholders to align priorities and ensure solutions meet end-user needs.
- Influence product design and architecture through technical insights and deep understanding of operational requirements.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks, manage program risks, and communicate effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- (Optional but valued) Conduct usability interviews and help shape UX and workflow design patterns based on end-user feedback.
Basic Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in technical program management or software project/product delivery in a complex, cross-functional environment.
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering results.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to lead discussions with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience working with distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, or enterprise-scale software systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with workplace safety, health systems, or operations environments.
- Experience working with UX designers and usability research methods.
- Ability to influence without authority and navigate ambiguity.
- Working knowledge of Agile or similar software development methodologies.
- Experience conducting stakeholder interviews and synthesizing insights into technical solutions.
Bonus Skills:
- Background or strong interest in UX design—particularly in identifying usability pain points and proposing actionable design improvements.
- Experience working on products at the intersection of physical operations and digital workflows.
