Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated MS Exchange Production Support Engineer to join our team in Plano, TX. This role plays a key part in supporting and maintaining enterprise-level Exchange environments and assisting with a large-scale migration from on-prem Exchange (2016/2019) to MS 365 (M365). The ideal candidate will bring a blend of operational support expertise, migration experience, and excellent troubleshooting capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily production support for Exchange environments, ensuring system stability and uptime (99.9% SLA).
- Manage and maintain Exchange 2016/2019 servers and DAG configurations across multiple data centers.
- Support ongoing migration efforts from on-prem Exchange to
- MS 365 in a phased approach.
- Troubleshoot complex email and mailbox-related issues; identify root causes and implement resolutions.
- Utilize monitoring tools such as SCOM and Splunk to ensure health of Exchange infrastructure.
- Work with Remedy for ticketing and change management processes.
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders through Skype, Teams, or WebEx.
- Develop and execute PowerShell scripts for automation and administrative tasks.
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to critical incidents as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- 5–10 years of experience supporting MS Exchange (2016/2019) in large enterprise environments.
- Hands-on experience with Multi-Node DAGs and Clustering across data centers.
- Strong understanding of mail flow, mailbox management, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Previous involvement in Exchange-to-M365 migration projects (mailboxes, calendars, etc.).
- Proficiency with PowerShell scripting for Exchange administration.
- Experience using Splunk, SCOM, and BMC Remedy or similar ticketing/monitoring tools.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and deliver results with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Exchange Online and hybrid environments.
- Familiarity with AppViewX, Trend Micro, and enterprise security tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
