Title: QA Automation Developer
Client: Investment Industry
Type: 6-Month Contract + Opportunity to Extend
Location: Toronto, ON (4 day/week onsite), 37.5 hours/week
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Collabera is seeking a QA Automation a major Canadian Investment Industry in downtown Toronto.
- The successful Automation Developer will be responsible for automation testing for back-end applications that support trading and post-trade activities across asset classes including equities, fixed income, derivatives, OTC, and FX.
- Daily, they will be performing 70% back-end automation testing and 30% will be functional responsibilities that require the candidate to have a strong understanding of Capital Markets Lifecycle knowledge. The frame has been built, and the candidate will focused on enhancing automation and adding test cases
Must haves: - 5 years of experience as an Automation Developer (Mindset of an SDET)
- 3 years of Capital markets experience with a strong understanding of Front, Middle, and back office trading lifecycle
- Previous experience of automation testing on back-end applications
- 5 years’ experience with Python
- 5 years’ of experience Pytest Framework. Previous experience developing test cases and enhancing automation in an Python/ Py Test Environment, SQL experience
- Data Validation experience
- Strong understanding of Data Validation Testing, looking at back-end outputs and inputs
- Strong understanding of Cloud concepts and Storage, preferably with AWS
CI/CD Experience:
- Strong grasp of CI/CD concepts, ecosystem, and best practices.
- Tools: Proficient with GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins. While the team currently uses GitHub Actions, experience with Jenkins or similar tools is equally acceptable.
- Pipeline Automation: Capable of building event-driven automation pipelines triggered by actions such as code commits, pull requests, or merges.
- Strong understanding to Testing Lifecycle: Automation, Regression. Smoke, and UAT testing
- Self-driven and can wear multiple hats
Nice to have:
- Experience with Gherkin
- Previous experience as an SDET
