Location(s): Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 3 day in office, 2 day WFH (flexible which day))
Compensation and Benefits:
Level: L5 or L6 (flexible depending on experience)
Base Salary + Bonus: 25% incentive (RRSP Match: 4.5%, PTO: 20 vacation day + 6 personal day, Benefits: Standard health & dental)

What They Will Accomplish (High-Level):
- Scale, enhance, and modernize an already-built DevOps platform with a large internal user base.
- Drive onboarding of new DevOps tools/services based on user demand.
- Support centralized DevOps platform used across business and technology orgs.
- Help onboard GenAI tools like GitHub Copilot for developers.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Design, manage, and scale platform infrastructure—not just pipelines, but full DevOps platforms.
- Work closely with external teams to guide, influence, and coach best practices around DevOps adoption.
- Implement and manage tooling like Terraform, AWS, GitHub Actions, Vault, Elastic (ELK).
- Enhance platform reliability, onboarding, and tooling as demand increases.
Must-Haves:
- Strong AWS experience (services and roles understanding) at a lead level.
- Hands-on with: Terraform, GitHub Actions, DevOps platform builds (not just pipelines).
- Leadership/mentorship skills—guide and coach internal users and external teams.
- Ability to influence teams and drive alignment on DevOps standards without direct authority.
- Comfortable in fast-paced, highly collaborative environments.
- Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly and justify design choices.
Plusses:
- GenAI experience (e.g., GitHub Copilot).
- Experience with Elastic Observability (ELK stack), Vault.
- Developer background or experience working closely with engineering teams.
- Experience in fintech, banking, or product-first cloud-native companies.
- Background from organizations like:
- Wealthsimple
- Square
- Instacart
- Canadian banks (focused on cloud-native, not on-prem)
Non-Technical Qualities:
- Strong communicator, especially with external platform users.
- Ability to influence behaviors and drive adoption of standards and tooling.
- Lead by coaching and collaboration (no direct reports but expected to coach others).
- Can be flexible on level (L5 or L6) depending on strength in core areas.
