Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a research technician to facilitate on-farm research related to evaluating the potential soil health and crop quality impacts of compost and compost extracts. Specifically, the technician will assist in designing and implementing an on-farm experiment across 3-5 farms from Berthoud to Seibert Colorado in 2026-2027.

Essential Job Duties

  • Collaborate with farmer collaborators and research team to design on-farm experiments
  • Schedule field sampling events
  • Collect soil and plant samples
  • Effectively communicate with team members

This position is supervised by Meagan Schipanski

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience working with farmers utilizing compost tea extracts

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing field experiments and collecting plant and soil samples
  • Demonstrated communications skills, including leading project teams
  • Experience working with farmers in the Front Range of Colorado

Salary Range

$20-28/hour
