Position Summary
As a Sr. Data Scientist – Healthcare Journey Analytics, you will work cross-functionally with other Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Digital, IT, Clinical, Product, Design, Marketing, and more, to analyze, develop, and optimize, condition specific healthcare journeys for health plan members. A strong understanding of health insurance claims data is required. This role will build and utilize algorithms to identify clinical conditions (or risk of clinical conditions), and evaluate intervention opportunities and approach, to develop member facing campaigns to help members better understand their condition journey and to make informed decisions. The solution you will help build will help members understand where they are on their journey, what might be next, and what options they should consider.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant healthcare analytics work experience
  • Experience with health insurance claims data analytics
  • Strong knowledge of SQL
  • Strong knowledge of Python and/or R
  • Demonstrated experience working in cross-functional teams / workgroups


Preferred Qualifications

  • Healthcare journey analytics experience
  • Healthcare campaigns/intervention development and optimization experience
  • Adept at problem solving and decision making
  • Adept at collaboration and teamwork
  • Adept at verbal and written communication
  • Adept at execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting)


Education

  • Masters degree in Data Science, Advanced Analytics, Population Health Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, or related discipline
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$83,430.00 - $203,940.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
