The DDAT (Digital, Data Analytics, and Technology) Finance organization is seeking a highly accomplished and forward thinking Associate Vice President, FP&A to lead financial strategy and performance management for one of the company’s most complex and rapidly evolving business segments. This is a critical enterprise leadership role requiring exceptional financial discipline, strategic insight, and the ability to influence at the highest levels of the organization.
The ideal executive brings a strong command of FP&A in large-scale, matrixed environments, paired with a proven ability to build trusted partnerships with senior leaders. This leader will shape the financial narrative for DDAT, ensure disciplined governance of multibillion dollar portfolios, and drive insights that guide enterprise decision making.
Key Leadership Responsibilities
Serve as the senior financial leader for the DDAT segment, overseeing an operating expense budget of approximately $3B and a capital portfolio of $2B, ensuring resources are aligned to strategic priorities.
Lead the full suite of FP&A activities — including performance management, forecasting, strategic planning, capital evaluation, and productivity initiatives — with a focus on driving transparency, consistency, and financial rigor.
Establish and champion a strong financial governance culture, reinforcing accountability, measurable ROI, and effective stewardship across all DDAT investments.
Develop and deepen relationships with Business Unit CFOs, Enterprise Finance, and DDAT leadership, becoming a trusted thought partner and strategic advisor.
Drive modernization and process optimization across FP&A, improving forecasting accuracy, streamlining recurring cycles, and elevating insights through metric driven reporting.
Collaborate with CTDOs (Chief Technology Digital Officers) and DDAT enterprise teams to guide the development of financially sound, strategically aligned initiatives.
Oversee the creation and delivery of executive level reporting packages, budget materials, and complex analyses that inform senior leadership decisions.
Experience Requirements
A minimum of 15 years of progressive finance leadership experience, including deep expertise in FP&A within large, complex organizations.
A track record of executive level partnership, influencing enterprise strategies, and leading high performing finance teams.
Education
A master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline is strongly preferred.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$157,800.00 - $363,936.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
