How will this role have an impact?

At CVS Health, we believe the home is the hub for better health. Our nationwide network of more than 10,000 credentialed providers engages health plan members at home to provide a comprehensive health screening. Our medical practitioners use a tablet to document all the information they gather from the member. Gathering detailed and correct information is critical for the member’s further diagnosis and treatment thus the design, efficiency, and ability to get new content to the practitioners is vital to our business. We have designed a new platform for creating and deploying this content to replace our legacy system. This is where you come in.

We are looking for Tech Savvy individuals interested in New / emerging technologies such as MicroServices, React and Azure. The Senior Software Engineer will be part of an agile development team, building and working on enterprise grade software systems leveraging .Net to build MicroServices and React to build world class UIs.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain high standards of software quality by writing high-quality code and following established standards and best practices

  • Ensure cross team collaboration with other Software Engineers, Business Analysts and Architects in the planning, design, development, testing, and maintenance of web- and desktop-based business applications is occurring

  • Work with the Product Team in the refinement of user stories that are developer-ready, easy to understand, and testable

  • Provide estimates at a User Story level and provide input to work plans

  • Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code

  • Package and support deployment of code releases

  • Analyze and resolve technical and application problems

  • Assess opportunities for application and process improvement and prepare documentation of rationale to share with team members and other affected parties

  • Provide third-level support to business users

  • Proactively reviews the Performance and Capacity of all aspects of production: code, infrastructure, data, and message processing

  • Perform unit and integration testing before launch

  • Responsible for the security and privacy of any and all protected health information that may be accessed during normal work activities

  • Ability to use AI tools to move faster in today's environment

Basic Qualifications:

  • 6 or more years of experience in Software Development working with a mix of front and back end technologies in a product oriented, cross functional engineering team

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred but not required

  • An equivalent combination of experience and training/certification may be considered instead of a formal degree

  • Hands on experience with a number of programming languages including but not limited to: C#, .NET, Java, and frameworks such as ASP.Net

  • Experience with Continuous Integration Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)

  • Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies

  • We are seeking senior Engineers who are capable of mentoring and growing the junior staff members

Some preferred skills and experience include:

  • Strong experience in .NET/C#

  • Experience with application containerization and container management

  • Experience with messaging technologies like Kafka, Akka.Net, NServiceBus or RabbitMQ

  • Prior work with cloud-based systems, Azure experience preferred

  • Exposure to caching patterns and technologies (Redis, Couchbase, etc.)

  • Experience doing Agile spikes on new ideas, and once decisions are made helping to carry out the implementation (use of AI tools a benefit)

  • Experience with multi-layer architecture, architectural patterns and Dependency Injection frameworks. Experience with Mediator pattern, Domain Driven Design and ORMs strongly desired

  • Strong understanding of service oriented architecture principles and techniques, object-oriented design principles, and database design and implementation

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

€50,000.00 - €125,000.00
