Do you want to be involved in delivering cybersecurity?Deloitte is seeking aCyber Security Engineer who will be an integral part of an agile team that works to deliver software solutions that satisfy pre-defined functional and user requirements with the added dimension of preventing misuse, circumvention, and malicious behavior. Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions, and apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of cybersecurity challenges that span multiple technology domains.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience in system design, domain driven design and microservices.
  • Designing and implementing enterprise-level security solutions
  • Advanced in one or more programming languages (e.g. Java, Python, C++)
  • Knowledge of software application development and technical processes with considerable in-depth security knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (i.e., AI/ML, app development, cloud, IAM, mobile, network, pen testing, red teaming, vulnerability management, etc.)
  • Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
  • Practical cloud native experience (i.e. AWS, Azure and/or GCP)
  • Communication: Ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to handle security incidents and vulnerabilities.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with other IT teams, stakeholders, and external partners.

Our Cyber Defense & Resilience offering assists clients in defending against advanced threats by transforming security operations, monitoring technology, data analytics, and threat intelligence. Helps manage and protect dynamic attack surfaces and provides rapid crisis and cyber incident response, ensuring clients can be ready for, respond to, and recover from business disruptions.
Qualifications:

Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Must have Active TS – Q clearance required.
  • Must be local to Las Vegas, NV and able to come onsite 5 days a week in Las Vegas, NV.
  • 2+ years’ experience in information security and well-rounded knowledge of technology such as:
    • Implementing security controls and configurations.
    • Deploying security tools and technologies.
    • Troubleshooting security issues.
    • Strong understanding of network and system security.
    • Proficiency in scripting and automation.
    • Experience with security tools and technologies.
  • 1+ years’ experience in monitoring and analyzing logs and alerts from a variety of different technologies and sources to include but not limited to Network/Host, EDR, Firewall, IDS/IPS, Cloud (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
  • 1+ years’ experience in incident response engagements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of experience with content creation concepts, content development management, content testing, implementation, and threat analysis of complex events.
  • 1+ year of experience with security architectures, devices, firewalls, and system and application security threats and vulnerabilities.
  • 1+ year of experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • 1+ year of experience with GenAI and LLM.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $93,225 to $155,375.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
