Position Summary

Work you’ll do/Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of cybersecurity, infrastructure, and architecture initiatives aligned to organizational objectives.
  • Define and enforce security architecture standards, frameworks, and best practices across all technology domains.
  • Oversee the design and delivery of network, cloud, and on-premise infrastructure solutions that balance security, performance, and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess risks, ensure compliance, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Manage vendor relationships and technology partners to ensure service excellence and adherence to security and performance SLAs.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering and operations teams.
  • Monitor emerging technologies and threats, recommending strategic improvements to maintain a robust security posture.
  • Communicate regularly with Engagement Managers (Directors), project team members, and representatives from various functional and / or technical teams, including escalating any matters that require additional attention and consideration from engagement management
  • Independently and collaboratively lead client engagement workstreams focused on improvement, optimization, and transformation of processes including implementing leading practice workflows, addressing deficits in quality, and driving operational outcomes

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of proven experience as engagement and technical lead coordinating complex, cross-domain technology programs spanning SaaS, IaaS, on-premise applications, end-user computing, and network infrastructure.
  • Deep hands-on background in designing, implementing, and operating Security Operations Center (SOC) capabilities, including incident detection and response, threat intelligence, SIEM engineering, and threat hunting.
  • Skilled in developing and implementing IT and security architectures that embed protection and compliance into enterprise solutions while enabling frictionless business operations.
  • Ability to manage multi-disciplinary cyber and infrastructure projects across Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond, and Recover functions (aligned with NIST), ensuring measurable improvements in client security posture.
  • Specialized in large-scale, high-profile environments such as Sports and Major Events, orchestrating cross-organizational delivery and extended enterprise risk management under tight operational timelines.
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural and international environment
  • Experienced working in a fast-paced, multi-level, project-based environment with an emphasis on timelines is an asset
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
  • Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in California, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to California and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $153,000 to $253,000.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
