Work You’ll Do
- Drive AI research and development (R&D) initiatives supporting a defense intelligence mission customer.
- Build and deliver Proofs of Concept (POCs) and Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) using natural language processing (NLP), generative AI (GenAI), and agentic AI.
- Design, develop, and deploy GenAI/agentic AI approaches to solve complex real-world problems end-to-end.
- Translate mission needs into AI solution requirements, success metrics, and implementation roadmaps.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) and data readiness assessments; identify gaps, risks, and remediation actions.
- Develop, train, and validate models (including prompt/agent workflows), and document performance, limitations, and assumptions.
- Deploy solutions into on-premises and cloud environments; partner with engineering to meet security, latency, and reliability needs.
- Establish and improve repeatable, reusable processes and scalable data/ML systems to accelerate delivery.
- Produce client-ready deliverables: whitepapers, presentations, executive briefings, technical reports, and solution documentation.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) to Government & Public Services (GPS) clients and the global AI partner ecosystem.
- Provide high-autonomy client advisory on AI strategy, architecture, governance, and development choices.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with data scientists, data engineers, account leadership, and program management to ensure delivery, quality, and timelines.
- Maintain data science best practices by staying current on GenAI/agentic AI methods, tools, industry trends, and open-source packages; recommend adoption where beneficial

Qualifications
Required: << Recruiter to only enter 2-4 additional basic qualifications a job seeker must demonstrably possess to even be considered as a candidate. These can include degrees, certifications, experience level and skills proficiency. >>
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
- 10+ years data science experience, including 2+ years building NLP/GenAI solutions.
- 5+ years of experience leading stakeholder sessions translating mission needs into a roadmap and delivery plan.
- 3+ years of experience deploying models or GenAI services into production-like environments, including CI/CD, monitoring, versioning, and security/compliance constraints.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance required
- Ability to work onsite 100% of the time in Huntsville, AL.
Preferred:
- Master’s Degree Preferred.
