Location - This role is in-person at North Campus Edmonton, South Campus Edmonton, and Enterprise Square.
The LSS analyst is one of the "faces" of IST, and provides technical support for computers, audio-visual technology, and related classroom and lab software within these spaces.

- Minimum of a diploma in the area of media, design, theatre production, radio/television, and/or IT 3+ years experience in the audiovisual or IT industry
- Intermediate to advanced technical knowledge of web and video conferencing systems
- Experience within an educational environment
- Experience with video and audio editing software
- Experience with training both groups and individuals
- Demonstrated analytical and diagnostic skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) - Foundations Course an asset
- Strong communication (oral and written), problem solving, analytical and time management skills
- Ability to converse in multiple languages would be an asset
- Be able to deal with change and ambiguity
- Excellent customer service skills
This position is subject to all applicable terms and conditions of the collective agreement between the Governors of the University of Alberta and the Non-Academic Staff Association (NASA).

- Provides support and recommendations for instructors on technology and its use within learning spaces across campus
- Assesses the needs of instructors and provides targeted guidance for the use of technology to meet their pedagogical goals
- Continually assesses hardware/software and makes recommendations for improvements and efficiencies by reviewing procedures, identifying opportunities and researching effective solutions within the scope of their services
- Supports the use, setup, deployment and training for synchronous learning tools and web conferencing solutions such as Zoom, Google Meet and Yuja
