This position has a term length of 1 year plus 1 day.
Location - This role is in-person at North Campus Edmonton.
We are looking for a passionate Research Assistant who is resourceful to support our on-going research projects. The Research Assistant will work under an experienced project coordinator, and will assist in the various complex research projects currently underway. The research assistant will help with data collection, participant interviews, and support general research and administrative tasks.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline such as Nursing, Health Sciences or Public Health
- Research experience in long-term care or health research is an asset
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment and to multi-task while remaining organized
- Demonstrated excellent inter-personal skills
- Demonstrated superior written and oral communication skillsExcellent problem-solving skills
- Detail oriented
- High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with long-term care sector is an asset
- Experience with research activities is an asset
- Experience with conducting interviews is an asset

- Organize and coordinate research interviews, including scheduling participants and managing logistics.
- Conduct confidential interviews via Zoom with Health Care Aides across Alberta, in accordance with ethics and trauma‑informed research practices.
- Organize survey mail‑out packages, including preparation of materials, tracking distribution, and coordinating returns.
- Conduct research and literature reviews; synthesize relevant literature.
- Take notes and minutes for meetings; distill discussion and action items.
- Interact and communicate with stakeholders, investigators, and team members; prepare reports and briefings for different stakeholder groups.
- Assist in writing (with supervision) of reports and manuscripts.
- Assist in the preparation of publications, posters, presentations, technical and dissemination reports.
- Help monitor, assess, and manage project status to ensure objectives are met.
- Assist in the collection and analysis of qualitative and quantitative evaluation data (focus groups, interviews, surveys).
- Support team members with communication and dissemination of study/project materials; coordinate correspondence with partners.
- Organize and attend group meetings/calls; send invitations and set up calls.
- Participate in the coordination and organization of potential grants, publications, and reports.
- Perform administrative tasks as required (e.g., photocopying, printing).
