At the intersection of innovation and sustainability, our Facilities team plays a critical role in ensuring our operations are efficient, compliant, and environmentally responsible. We are seeking a proactive and experienced Facilities Energy Engineer to lead the design, maintenance, and continuous improvement of facility systems and equipment. This role is key to ensuring efficient, sustainable, and compliant operations across our facilities. Where You Come In:
- You will lead energy efficiency initiatives across our facilities, identifying and implementing opportunities to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions.
- You manage energy audits, utility data analysis, and performance benchmarking to drive continuous improvement.
- You collaborate with cross-functional teams including EHS, Facilities, and Engineering to integrate sustainability into capital projects and operations.
- You design and optimize building systems (HVAC, lighting, controls) for energy performance and regulatory compliance.
- You support the development and execution of the company’s energy management strategy and sustainability goals.
- You evaluate and implement renewable energy technologies and energy storage solutions where feasible.
- You ensure compliance with local, national, and international energy regulations and standards.
- You prepare technical reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal stakeholders and external agencies.
What Makes You Successful:
- You are experienced in energy engineering, building systems, and sustainability practices within a regulated industry.
- You have strong knowledge of HVAC systems, building automation systems, and energy modelling tools.
- You bring proficiency in energy analysis software and data visualization tools.
- You are familiar with LEED, ISO 50001, ASHRAE standards, and other relevant energy efficiency frameworks.
- You have excellent project management and communication skills, with the ability to influence across departments.
- You are detail-oriented and thrive in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.
- Your problem-solving mindset helps you identify innovative solutions to complex energy challenges.
- You bring experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments (nice to have).
Skills & Qualifications
- Education: • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 5-8 years related experience or Master’s degree and 2-5 years equivalent industry experience or a PhD and 0-2 years experience.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and energy management systems.
- Analytical Skills: Strong data analysis and problem-solving capabilities.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage facility improvement and upgrade projects from planning through execution.
- Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying current with emerging technologies and best practices in facility management and energy efficiency.
