Meet the team:
Under the direction of the Manager of Engineering, the Process Engineer provides technical support for the improvement, installation, validation and transfer of replicate custom wet coating equipment used in the scale-up of manufacturing for existing or new Dexcom products. These duties include leading or supporting cross functional equipment deployment teams while working with outside suppliers to meet process, requirements equipment specifications and timelines. Process Engineer is also responsible to define, develop and implement a robust monitoring system to measure and quantify the processes performance to reduce scrap, improve product quality and enable best in class manufacturing.
Where you come in:
- You are based in a cleanroom and production floor environment.
- You collaborate with cross-functional teams, primarily US Global Engineering and R&D Engineering to support the improvement and implementation of replicated NPI Engineering processes, equipment, and tools in Malaysia, with a focus on applicator and custom testing equipment for new Dexcom products.
- You work closely with Global Engineering, Site Engineering, R&D, the Malaysia Test Lab, and external equipment suppliers to identify and implement enhancements to custom equipment solutions that boost reliability, efficiency, and yield.
- You participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts related to production issues.
- You maintain process documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and SOPs. You also develop product process flow charts, conduct PFMEA, manage BOMs and control plans, and oversee product performance to ensure production readiness.
- You support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing costs, improving quality, and increasing productivity.
- You apply problem-solving techniques to identify potential equipment risks and implement mitigation plans as needed.
- You update equipment-related documentation, such as manuals, drawings, and specifications, when necessary.
- You communicate effectively with the broader Dexcom team regarding project progress and challenges.
- You perform other duties as assigned.

Experience and Education Requirements:
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, BioProcess Engineering or related field and a minimum of 2-5 years of related experience.
