You will evaluate and implement advanced coating technologies such as slot-die, jet/contact dispensing, and other related methods.
You will design lab-scale coating processes that have a pathway towards high-volume manufacturing environments.
You will establish metrology and process control strategies to ensure coating uniformity, controlled coating thickness, and minimal material waste.
You will collaborate cross-functionally with formulation scientists, equipment engineers, and sensor development teams to ensure robust process integration.
You will troubleshoot coating defects and drive continuous improvement in yield, throughput, and material utilization.
You will mentor junior engineers and contribute to Dexcom’s coating technology roadmap.
You will ensure coating processes meet regulatory standards and support validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ).
What makes you successful:
You have deep expertise in thin-film coating technologies, including slot-die, contact, and/or jet dispensing.
You are skilled in fluid dynamics, rheology, and surface science as applied to coating processes.
You have hands-on experience with coating equipment setup, tuning, and troubleshooting.
Your proficiency includes scaling processes to high-volume manufacturing and integrating with production systems.
You are familiar with ISO 13485 and FDA GMP requirements for regulated manufacturing environments.
You have strong analytical skills and use data-driven approaches to optimize process performance.
