The Impact you will have in this role:

The Product Owner is responsible for translating the product vision into squad deliverables to achieve the product strategy, aligned with enhancing value to the client. This is done through managing scope and product backlog in collaboration with the squad, Product Manager, clients (internal/external) and key team members.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

  • Drives product vision and strategy
  • Translates the vision and the roadmap into squad deliverables and release plans
  • Brings the voice of the client (external/internal) into the squad and the voice of the squad to the organization
  • Act as Product Owner in an Agile squad and partnering with internal teams for prioritization and implementation of new features ensuring that all proposed changes are reviewed, feedback is incorporated, and any impact is fully communicated to collaborators.
  • Prioritizes the squad’s work through delivery: – Creates and refines the backlog with the squad to provide the right level of detail at the right time to achieve definition of ready (preparation for development) –Continuously accepts or rejects completed work, according to acceptance criteria – Seeks feedback from collaborators and clients and incorporates into future backlog items
  • Delivers and documents business requirements in a clear and consistent manner through user stories in JIRA and other tools.
  • Partner with customers to understand applicable regulations and develop requirements that drive regulatory compliant solutions
  • Cultivates relationships with critical team members to maintain alignment to achieve strategic goals
  • Evaluates shared issues, risks, and dependencies through to resolution
  • Improve delivered value by evaluating implementation alternatives and considering impact of cost, schedule, and risk profiles.
  • Anticipates market/user needs and difficulties and helps cultivate solutions for client issues.
  • The ability to optimally plan and coordinate multiple demands and challenging priorities.
  • Facilitates and leads external working groups and other relevant subject matter working groups.
  • Assists in product training efforts for all touchpoints to both internal and external customers, including documentation, publications, E Training tools, FAQ’s.
  • Expected to be a SME in an area of the product and, where required, to attend meetings with clients to help with the product area of expertise.
  • Identifies potential risks to achieving project objectives and elevates to appropriate management. Mitigates risk by following established procedures, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.
  • Collaborate with the team to bring a new product functionality/service to market and engage with all aspects of the launch.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Knowledge of financial services and experience Derivatives Reporting.
  • Experience in Agile/scrum methodology, including defining a minimal viable product, and exposure to other software development methodologies

The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations. Clearing & Securities Services group delivers world-class safety and soundness for the global financial services industry. The team provides DTCC’s portfolio of core securities business, including Institutional Trade processing and First Line Resilience and Control to facilitate better end-to-end planning and prioritization as well as enable more coordinated and seamless delivery of capabilities and services for our clients.
