The Information Technology group delivers secure, reliable technology solutions that enable DTCC to be the trusted infrastructure of the global capital markets. - DTCC offers a flexible/hybrid model of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote (onsite Tuesdays, Wednesdays and a third day unique to each team or employee).
The impact you will have in this role:
Being a member of the IT Application Delivery squad, you will design, develop, maintain and support DTCC’s TIW application. The Trade Information Warehouse (TIW) application, the industry's only solution for record retention and lifecycle servicing of cleared and bilateral credit derivatives. This includes core processing capabilities, external data exchange with submitters and participants, settlement instruction capabilities as well as the client/external interface for accessing TIW's data. This individual will need to be highly experienced and technically proficient in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java and related technologies, a strong understanding of software architecture, and a proven track record of leading complex projects from conception to deployment.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical processes and designs considering reliability, data integrity, maintainability, reuse, extensibility, usability, and scalability.
- Design and develop scalable, high-performance Java-based applications.
- Lead architecture and design discussions, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership across teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, and Product Management.
- Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices in software development.
- Optimize application performance and troubleshoot production issues.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions.

Qualifications:
- Minimum 8-10 years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree (preferred) or equivalent experience
Talents Needed for Success:
- Strong expertise in Java SE/EE, Spring Framework (Boot, MVC, Security), Hibernate/JPA.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, AWS Lamda, microservices architecture, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Snowflake).
- Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Eclipse, Jenkins, Git, Maven, Autosys Scheduler.
- Ability to demonstrate DevOps techniques and practices like Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, Test Automation, Build Automation and Test-Driven Development to enable the rapid delivery of working code utilizing tools like Jenkins, Cloud bees, Git, etc.
- Solid understanding of software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Exposure to front-end technologies (Angular, React, or Vue.js).
- Background in financial services, or other regulated industries.
- Certifications in Java, cloud technologies, or architecture (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Snowflake Pro Core certification).

Serves as a dedicated technology resource for advancing DTCC’s business opportunities and providing industry thought leadership for leveraging new technology. The goal of this new department is to partner internally with IT, our business and regulatory divisions and externally with clients, regulators, and fintech vendors, to help build new platforms and business models to advance DTCC’s mission to support the financial markets.
