The impact you will have in this role:

The Business Intelligence Senior Analyst leverages data and analytical tools to support senior leadership by extracting valuable insights and making data-driven decisions for an organization. This role specializes in business analytics services such as business intelligence, market and customer research and analysis, and dashboard creation for business units and integrated services groups.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

  • Understand the decision-making process, workflows, and business and information needs of business executives
  • Translate business needs into analytics/reporting requirements to support executive decisions and workflows with required information
  • Coordinate with knowledge workers to understand their information needs and identify ways to visualize and present information in a user-friendly manner
  • Proactively mine data warehouses to identify trends and patterns and generate insights for business units and senior leadership
  • Support user experience specialists and information architects to enhance information visualization through the development of dashboards and user interfaces
  • Work closely with information managers, architects, and business units for knowledge sharing, mentoring, and training
  • Develop analytical strategies to solve business problems by understanding the business problems, identifying relevant data, gathering and summarizing data meaningfully, and applying appropriate statistical analysis
  • Transform complex data into easy-to-follow reporting through graphing, charts, and dashboards
  • Create and maintain dashboards, visualizations, and reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker to enable data-driven decision-making
  • Implement and maintain analytics systems to store and manage structured and unstructured data
  • Align risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred) or equivalent experience

Talents Needed for Success:

  • At least five years of experience as a data analyst, business intelligence analyst, market research analyst, financial analyst, statistician, or equivalent role
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including executives, managers, and marketing professionals, to provide data-driven insights and recommendations that support strategic decision-making processes
  • Experience with consumer-level data for the purposes of analysis, reporting, or marketing
  • Demonstrated experience in the creation of reports, dashboards, and data visualizations for the effective communication of insights and findings to a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Substantial experience with relational customer databases and query tools

Clearing & Securities Services group delivers world-class safety and soundness for the global financial services industry. The team provides DTCC’s portfolio of core securities business, including Institutional Trade processing and First Line Resilience and Control to facilitate better end-to-end planning and prioritization as well as enable more coordinated and seamless delivery of capabilities and services for our clients.
