Being a member of the Risk IT team means you will be a part of a technology team with a rich diverse skill set and a phenomenal hard-working committed team. Whether it is Java, Spring suite, JavaScript, AngularJS, Unix, or Database skillset required for the project initiatives, we are there for each other collaborating and helping each other to achieve the common goal. We are embarking on an incredible multi-year transformation journey which may include research, new development, prototyping, modification, building reusable components and maintenance.

In this role, the candidate would be responsible for contributing towards new project implementations as well as enhancements to existing Financial Settlement applications. There is also significant opportunity for advancement and growth in this role based on your performance and contribution towards the organization goals.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

  • Modernizing legacy applications that have been executing for 20+ years.
  • Laying the foundational framework for the systems modernization
  • Participate in requirements gathering with Product owners, business users and subject matter experts and work with the architect to produce a design that will ensure system stability and expandability.
  • Following best practices on code development by incorporating automated unit testing, conducting code reviews, and participating in Agile ceremonies.
  • Collaborate with the testing teams to ensure that defects are identified and remediate before going live.
  • Provide on-going maintenance support during post-deployment phase.
  • Identify and implement efficiencies and improvements to standard processes and procedures such as automation through scripting, programming, etc.
  • Mitigates risk by following established procedures, spotting key errors, and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.
  • Be a self-starter providing creative and innovative ideas or solutions continuously improving the technological offering.

Talents Needed for Success:

  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science is required.
  • Experience on Java and related technologies Java, J2EE, Spring (Boot, Core, MVC, JDBC, Security), Struts, Junit, Hibernate.
  • Knowledge of UI technologies like Angular, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, JSP.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud services (Lambda, S3, EC2, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Kafka, MQ, Oracle, Amazon Q is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture and API design
  • JEE Application servers Tomcat, WebSphere, JBOSS.
  • DevOps tools like Maven, Jenkins, nexus and fortify.
  • Solid understanding of Agile, Dev/Ops practices and tools
  • Understanding Secure Coding and Best Practices and experience in secure code development or security tools such as Fiddler and Burp Suite are an advantage.
  • Knowledge of host operating system Linux, Windows servers and Portal applications would be an added advantage.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication skills needed to work with a geographically separated team.
