- DTCC offers a flexible/hybrid model of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote (onsite Tuesdays, Wednesdays and a third day unique to each team or employee).
The Impact you will have in this role:
DTCC leverages event and alert management systems integrated with tools like ServiceNow and PagerDuty, to monitor our infrastructure in real-time and detect anomalies and escalate them to the correct support teams that will then review and take either reactive or proactive action for incident resolution.
This role in Event and Alert Mgmt. is crucial for bridging the gap between IT and business. This position ensures clear and comprehensive technical writing, oversees IT Observability UAT and ETE testing, and documents user requirements and journeys to optimize the end-user experience. A key responsibility also includes creating job aids and governance documentation to support organizational standards and practices. Additionally, the role fosters team collaboration and coordination, which is vital for successful project execution.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, job aids, and governance materials (standards, policies, procedures) to support cross-functional clarity and compliance.
- Lead and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and End-to-End (ETE) testing for Event Management and Observability platforms to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Translate user requirements and journeys into actionable documentation to enhance user experience and system design.
- Facilitate cross-departmental coordination, resolve conflicts, and align teams with strategic goals.
- Produce business analysis artifacts: requirements, scope matrix, use cases, sequence diagrams, future state proposals, and UAT plans.
- Define and document product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria, support roadmap prioritization and feature delivery.
- Own and manage the squad backlog; refine and review user stories to ensure readiness and alignment with sprint goals.
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards to deliver operational and strategic insights.
- Provide analytical and reporting support using dashboards and scripting to drive data-informed decisions.
- Script automation solutions to streamline documentation, reporting, and testing workflows.
- Participate in all squad ceremonies (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) and ensure compliance with risk mitigation and ethical standards.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
Talents Needed for Success:
- Prior experience communicating with all stakeholders (technology, clients, finance, integration, operations teams) to engage in discussion, create user stories, and consistently deliver the right products and solutions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities
- Knowledge of financial services operations and technology; experience in banking, capital markets, or financial operations is a plus
- Skilled in producing clear, structured documentation for technical and business audiences.
- Proven experience managing UAT and ETE testing for enterprise platforms.
- Strong ability to capture user needs and translate them into actionable documentation.
- Effective at coordinating across departments to drive alignment and resolve blockers.
- Capable of creating governance materials and process aids to support organizational standards.
- Proficient in scripting to automate workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
- Experienced in building and maintaining dashboards for data visualization and decision support.
The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations. About the Team
The IT SIFMU Delivery Department supports core Clearing and Settlement application delivery for DTC, NSCC and FICC. The department also develops and supports Asset Services, Wealth Management & Insurance Services and Master Reference Data applications.
