Sr. Analyst - Vrbo US Markets

As a part of this dynamic team, you will be key in optimizing performance and delivering on critical KPIs that define our success. As Sr. Analyst, Vrbo US Markets, you'll play a vital role in shaping Vrbo’s growth across key U.S. travel markets. This position focuses on creating and executing tailored strategies that align supply and demand, ensuring our travelers have access to the best properties in the most sought-after destinations. You’ll analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop actionable playbooks to guide cross-functional teams in executing impactful initiatives. By combining data insights with strategic thinking, you’ll help prioritize and unlock growth in markets with the highest potential.

This role is crucial in driving Vrbo's success by making data-driven decisions that enhance traveler satisfaction, grow supply in target destinations, and create meaningful partnerships. Your work will directly influence how Vrbo serves its customers and partners, positioning the platform for long-term growth in an evolving travel landscape. What you'll do:

  • Market Segmentation and Analysis: Group U.S. markets based on key factors like demand, supply, and market share, or by destination type. Choose the best way to categorize these markets for effective application.

  • Performance Measurement: Track and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of markets through customer satisfaction metrics, business performance, and market trends.

  • Data Analysis and Modeling: Collect, analyze, and model data to generate actionable insights and recommendations that drive market growth.

  • Competitive Intelligence: Monitor macro trends and local competitor performance to drive insights that inform market strategies. D

  • Develop Destination Playbooks: Create comprehensive supply and demand strategies for U.S. markets with the greatest potential for growth. Prioritize destination markets and develop playbooks for cross-functional execution.

  • Growth Strategies: Define the most valuable market types and develop tailored strategies to maximize their potential.

  • Advanced Matching of Supply and Demand: Leverage data to enable sophisticated supply and demand alignment across key U.S. markets.

  • Collaborative Execution: Partner with cross-functional teams, including product, analytics, and marketing, to align on program plans and ensure cohesive implementation of initiatives.

  • Clear Communication: Create well-organized communication materials, including reports, dashboards, and presentations, tailored to diverse stakeholder audiences.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.

  • Analytical Thinker: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, articulate insights, and provide actionable recommendations.

  • Advanced Tools Proficiency: Expertise in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of Tableau, SQL, or other BI tools is a plus.

  • Strategic Planner: A strategic thinker with the ability to build frameworks and playbooks that drive market-level actions and results.

  • Collaborative Partner: Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and foster collaboration among teams.

  • Customer-Centric: Deep understanding of customer and market needs, with a focus on delivering solutions that drive satisfaction and growth.

  • Effective Communicator: Ability to convey complex ideas through clear and concise written, visual, and verbal communication.

  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with U.S. travel markets and the vacation rental ecosystem is a significant advantage.

The total cash range for this position in Chicago is $74,000.00 to $103,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $118,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

The total cash range for this position in Austin is $82,500.00 to $115,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $132,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
