We are seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager who can help drive Operational Excellence across Emerging Business Technology team and play a pivotal role in driving helping us develop world class technology to solve for Advertising, Insurance, Affiliates and Strategic Partnerships.
In this role, you will:
Design, build and drive strategy and execution plan for ambiguous and highly complex technical program(s) requiring coordination across functions, teams & organizations.
Partners with the leadership to understand and ensure program’s connection to the overarching technical and business strategy
Establish and improve Technical Operational Excellence metrics to build highly reliable, available and scalable products
Design processes and frameworks across the organization to fuel continuous improvement to technical operations (includes but not limited to Incident Management, Cloud Cost, Service modernization, Compliance, CI/CD, developer productivity, etc.)
Enables optimum organizational efficiency by taking a whole systems approach and thinking across boundaries by ensuring all components (people, product, process, and technology) are identified and accounted for.
Define program governance, and build program roadmap by integrating timelines and milestones across program tracks, identifying and aligning areas of synergy or dependency
Continuously evaluate the progress of program(s) and make adjustments (e.g., to task order or timeline) to keep the program on track and deliver business unlocks.
Leverage experience to anticipate and identify risks in advance of impacts and lead proactive mitigation of issues and risks.
Establish working relationships with stakeholders and builds rapport to become a trusted advisor to identify and mitigate strategic issues and effectively handle trade-offs between cost, schedule, and customer benefit
Utilize technical knowledge and communication skills to generate and design comprehendible, broadly-applicable and differentiated communications for various internal and external audiences
Provide architectural and design input, with ability to dive deep into technical details as required.
Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. MS or other related advanced degree preferred.
10+ years of experience in software development
7+ years of experience running technology-related programs delivering platform solutions using agile development techniques across distributed teams to build scalable solutions.
Previous Experience in leading large scale complex Operational Excellence programs is a plus
Strong technical acumen is a must.
Capability to quickly grasp business context & execute with strategic approaches.
Strong leadership, negotiation, and execution skills with the ability to influence multi-functional teams and key decision maker; drive results, deliver, and excel.
Being big picture focused while skilled at zeroing in on the product and engineering details and delivering continuous improvement
Storytelling and persuasive influencing techniques that build trust with team and partners and establish long-term relationships
Solid understanding of software engineering principles and development practices
Passionate about driving improvements to performance, scalability, and tech health.
Proactively contributes to cross team collaboration and leads alignment of work with broader initiatives.
Adaptable to a rapidly changing landscape, while handling multiple responsibilities
Excellent written and spoken communication skills
Experience with tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
