Introduction to team:
The Traveler Business Team builds and drives growth for our global consumer businesses—Expedia, Hotels.com, and Vrbo. This division creates compelling and differentiated traveler value for each brand by setting the strategic vision, operating strategy, and plan. Responsibilities include investment allocation and prioritization, P&L accountability, and leading cross-functional teams across Expedia Group, who are all held accountable to a single scorecard.
Expedia Group is seeking a Senior Market Insights Analyst to help shape and drive the strategic agenda for Hotels.com in the Nordic markets. This is a high-impact role within our Global Markets team, reporting directly to the Director of Global Markets for the Nordics.
Our Global Markets team empowers the business to win locally delivering insight-driven strategies through geographic prioritization, market activation levers, and deep local market and customer intelligence. We collaborate cross-functionally with Analytics, Finance, Brand, Customer Marketing, Supply, and Product teams to unlock key business opportunities across global and local levels.
In this role, you will:
Lead the generation of deep insights across customers (travelers), partners (suppliers), competitors, and the broader market landscape to fuel strategic decisions for the Nordic region.
Develop and articulate data-driven hypotheses and problem statements to guide impactful market activations and long-term strategies.
Leverage your analytical skills and proficiency in tools like SQL to model complex data sets and deliver actionable, business-ready insights.
Monitor key performance indicators and market share trends, identifying root causes and surfacing growth opportunities.
Design and build scalable tools, analyses, and Tableau dashboards that can be leveraged across EMEA and globally.
Deliver localized product analysis and insights, ensuring that the global product organization is equipped with the data and feedback necessary to build relevant and effective traveler experiences for Nordic users.
Who You Are
A highly analytical thinker with strong attention to detail and proficiency in tools including Excel, SQL, Tableau, and other data platforms.
Comfortable analyzing large datasets across multiple databases, with the ability to extract clear insights and recommendations.
A strategic problem-solver who turns complex data into compelling stories that drive market strategies.
A proactive, innovative thinker with a hands-on, can-do attitude and a bias toward action.
Collaborative by nature, with a proven ability to influence and align cross-functional teams around a shared goal.
An excellent communicator with strong storytelling and presentation skills capable of turning insights into business impact.
Fluent in English and a native speaker of Swedish, Danish or Norwegian is a plus.
