Director Product Management, VRBO
Expedia Group is seeking a Director of Product to lead the product team for key areas of the traveler experience on Vrbo. As part of the Vrbo & VR product team, this leader will be an expert on families & groups and private vacation homes, and responsible for product delivery of initiatives especially in the discovery and shopping journeys. They will lead a team of product managers focused on unique, differentiated features for vacation rentals within the discovery and shopping experiences. They will do this while using and contributing to the EG travel platform and ultimately enable more Vrbo travelers to have unforgettable trips that inspire them to choose Vrbo again & again.
What you will do:
Develop product plans: Lead a team of product managers and cross-functional contributors to define and continuously refine the long-term product vision; addressing customer feedback and competitive insight. Create business cases and product strategy artifacts for top traveler needs that are unique or specialized to family & group travelers and VR properties.
Drive customer-centricity: Represent the voice of the customer and champion to internal teams and partners. Identify organizational, technical, product, design, and data gaps to unlock step change-improvements.
Conduct product delivery: tackle broad traveler needs and themes that cut across multiple product & tech teams, with an emphasis on end-to-end experiences and outcomes. Establish a data-driven framework for evaluating and prioritizing opportunities, partner with UX design to develop compelling experiences, and deliver across all required teams and dependencies.
Optimize Performance: Define success metrics for how well we serve VR customers. Partner with business, strategy, and analytics teams on frameworks for measuring performance. Continuously improve outcomes for travelers and partners.
Who you are:
You have 10+ years of experience in a product role building and scaling consumer products.
You have experience leading a product management team with responsibility for a large product portfolio where you prioritize scope, allocate resources and organize teams for coordinated delivery.
You have a proven track record of leadership through clarity of a product vision and strategy.
An effective communicator, you simplify complex situations allowing individuals at all levels to rally behind you.
You are a driving force in integrating AI/ML and personalized experiences for travelers
You guide innovation that shapes the future of the company and aligns with company goals, product strategy, and business model.
You possess outstanding analytical and decision-making skills, using quantitative and qualitative information from multiple sources while committing to action plans with imperfect data
You maintain high standards for individual, team, and organizational accomplishments, pursuing daring goals and deriving satisfaction from continuous improvement.
Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
