Introduction to the team
We're looking for a passionate, visionary, and customer-obsessed Senior Technical Product Manager to lead exciting growth and innovation opportunities for our Checkout experience. This is a high-impact individual contributor role focused on driving business growth, improving conversion rates, and unlocking value for travelers and partners alike. You'll work on one of the most critical steps in the user journey, shaping how millions of travelers can book their trips with speed, confidence, and delight. You will drive the creation of strategic roadmaps, foster influential stakeholder relationships, and elevate the travel experience through meticulous execution and leadership.

In this role, you will:

  • Own creation of a comprehensive product vision, strategy and roadmap to improve our Checkout experience, using strong judgment to prioritize the most impactful features and connect outputs to outcomes

  • Define new areas of investment by writing effective product requirement documents and conducting industry research to assess the product's viability, business impact, and technical feasibility

  • Stay ahead of market trends and emerging technologies in relevant fields of commerce, payments, and travel

  • Drive clarity in ambiguity, breaking down long-term visions and complex ideas into short-term milestones and concrete deliverables to test, learn, and iterate quickly

  • Define the right measures of success, set ambitious goals, and build an insight-driven roadmap to hit target outcomes

  • Collaborate closely with UX to design world-class experiences and guide trade-off decisions based on core customer needs, technical feasibility, and speed to market

  • Monitor and evaluate product performance, and relentlessly iterate to improve outcomes through controlled A/B or multivariate experimentation

  • Participate in engineering and architecture design and review processes to ensure solutions will meet current and future product needs without accumulating technical debt

  • Take ownership of managing complex stakeholder landscapes, balancing diverse interests to drive successful product outcomes on complex, cross-functional teams

  • Coach junior PMs to continuously raise the bar on essential product management skillsets

Experience and qualifications:

  • You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent related professional experience, and 8+ years for Bachelor's and 6+ years for Master's

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in product management with a strong track record of taking products from concept to launch

  • Extensive experience working closely with Engineering, User Experience, and Analytics teams to build impactful products customers love

  • Proficiency in running experiments (A/B, multivariate, etc.), analyzing results, and translating insights into clear and defensible product decisions

  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills across disciplines and levels. You're able to inspire, not just influence

  • High degree of curiosity and desire for continuous improvement. You dig beneath the surface of data to uncover insights, ask the right questions, and push beyond "good enough" to improve product quality and performance

  • Strong user experience sensibility. You pay close attention to details and take pride in product craftsmanship

  • Ability to think strategically and execute methodically with a strong bias for action. You find creative, scrappy solutions to move forward when you hit road blocks

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $173,000.00 to $242,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $277,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
