Principal Product Manager- Identity
Expedia’s Identity team is looking for a visionary product leader to inspire lasting connections with our brands by building effortless and trusted login and profile experiences. As Principal Product Manager on the team, you will be instrumental in supporting frictionless sign in, end to end personalization, and account protection for hundreds of millions of travelers and partners so that we can foster meaningful long-term relationships.
In this role, you will need to be an empathetic listener, capable of understanding the opportunities and needs of a diverse set of travelers and partners. You will need to absorb the feedback and goals of internal teams and set and manage expectations effectively. You will consult closely with Engineering, Design, Marketing, Legal, and other cross-functional partners to develop a strategic and compelling vision that addresses business needs and capitalizes on opportunities to differentiate both sides of our marketplace. You will serve as an excellent coach who can mentor, grow and bring out the best in your peers.
What You'll Do:
Define the vision and product strategy for a strategic Identity workstream and evangelize this across the organization.
Develop a deep empathy for our travelers and partners, understand their needs, and craft innovative, elegant solutions that increase their engagement and retention.
Use analytical skills to define the right success metrics, create feedback loops for continuous improvement, and prioritize new product features based on impact and strategic alignment.
Use effective frameworks, storytelling, and persuasive influencing techniques to align stakeholders on product direction and key decisions and build trust w/ the team.
Be comfortable in balancing across leadership, coaching and getting your hands dirty in order to get things done.
Actively identify and resolve issues that may impair teams’ ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals.
Who You Are:
You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
You have demonstrated success in building high quality, highly technical products (B2B or B2C).
You have a proven ability to rationalize and prioritize a backlog in a highly matrixed operating environment.
You bring exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills.
You are committed to fostering an inclusive work environment.
You can discuss sophisticated technical concepts simply.
You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
