Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our quality assurance team. The SDET will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks and tools to ensure the highest quality of our software products. You will have programming skills, an understanding of software testing methodologies, and experience delivering high-quality software solutions.You will be reporting to the Senior Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to identify test requirements and create test plans.
- Implement automated tests and analyze results to identify defects and ensure software quality.
- Develop and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure timely and effective testing of new features and bug fixes.
- Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Investigate and troubleshoot issues in the test environments and escalate.
- Improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance test coverage and efficiency.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience as an SDET or in a similar role in software development and testing
- 5+ years of experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Appium, or similar.
- Programming skills in languages such as C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, Ruby
- Test Planning (PBI Analysis, Establishing Priorities, Providing Estimates)
- Test Design (Create/Review Test Procedures, Create/Review Test Conditions, Identify/Create Test Data)
- Test Execution (Execute Test Procedures, Create/Triage Bugs, Status Reporting, Provide Requirements Traceability)
- Experience with data driven testing techniques and procedures.
- Experience with XML and CSV format for test-data generation.
- Experience with UAT and Production implementation & support.
- Knowledge and understanding of IT Quality Assurance testing applications, methods and methodologies.
- Validates Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) thus assuring the functionality, reliability, performance, and security of the programming interfaces
- Technical skills around system interoperability procedures.
- Experience with SQL commands to create, store, retrieve, modify data in a database
- Flexibility in learning new products and technologies quickly, versatility to move across applications.
- Experience around test automation by implementing scripts, reporting results, or having familiar knowledge with basic coding skills.
- Experience with software testing methodologies, including unit, integration, system, and acceptance testing.
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Advanced certifications such as ISTQB Certified Tester or similar.
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure
