Job Description

The Senior Software QA Test Engineer is a hands-on position responsible for leading projects, designing/developing test cases and conducting tests on multiple platforms. You will:

  • Use test plans to incorporate automation tests as part of the build process
  • Mobile, Web and Desktop testing experience including test planning, execution and reporting product status to deliver a high quality software product
  • Create test plans following the test strategy, and analyzing system design
  • Design, document and execute test automation framework
  • Communicate test results and issues to technical and non-technical team members
  • Mentor Test Engineers and Vendors on team to increase the skill of others
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment. Work design process into Agile methodology
  • Technical knowledge and experience to maximize opportunities and constraints of different platforms/code bases
  • Work within Agile project teams, continuously releasing application software and support of continuous integration processes
  • Coordinate integrated testing activities
  • Develop, prepare and executes comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for completing systems
  • Write simple SQL queries
  • Read multiple system input/output files like XML, JSon, Flat, 834, 835
  • Work with business analysts, business SMEs and developers to build detailed test cases

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in software QA with focus on manual and performance testing Experience in manual and automation testing
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in the healthcare industry, with knowledge of healthcare standards and regulations (e.g., HIPAA, HL7)
  • Proficiency in manual testing techniques and methodologies.
  • Experience with Test Management tools such as Jira Zephyr, QTest, or similar
  • Experience with both front-end and back-end web technologies (HTTP, AJAX, XML, Javascript, CSS)
  • Familiarity with defect tracking tools like JIRA or similar
  • Proficiency in Oracle SQL and understanding of database concepts
  • Familiar with Oracle tools such as SQL Developer
  • Experience with Linux operating systems, including command-line proficiency and shell scripting
  • Experience with ETL processes, including data extraction, transformation, and loading
  • Certified AWS Cloud Practitioner a plus.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay range for this position is listed above. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors such as job-related experience and education. You will also be eligible for a variable pay opportunity and a comprehensive benefits package.
