Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our AI Operations & Safety team. You will ensure the secure, compliant, and responsible deployment of generative AI (GenAI) models across financial services. Reporting into the Senior Management within the team you will lead technical projects, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable, safe, and explainable AI systems aligned with regulatory and ethical standards.
What you'll do:
- Contribute to the design and implementation of Responsible AI frameworks and governance policies.
- Collaborate with risk, compliance, and legal teams to ensure AI systems meet regulatory and ethical standards.
- Lead technical audits and documentation efforts related to AI safety, fairness, and transparency.
- Architect and maintain systems for model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
- Establish guardrails for model performance, explainability, and risk mitigation.
- Lead incident response and root cause analysis for AI-related issues.
- Develop scalable ML pipelines for model validation, evaluation, and monitoring.
- Lead development of GenAI-powered solutions in domains such as fraud detection, credit risk modeling, and customer service automation.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate AI capabilities into production systems.
- Provide technical leadership across the AI Operations & Safety team.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, encouraging innovation.
- Promote best practices in MLOps, model governance, and secure AI development.
Qualifications
What you'll bring:
- 6–8 years of experience in machine learning, data science, or software engineering.
- Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn).
- Hands-on experience with MLOps tools and practices (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow, and CI/CD for ML).
- Experience with AI governance, model risk management, and regulatory compliance in financial services.
- Experience leading technical projects and mentor engineering teams.
- University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal English skills.
