EY-Advisory - Data and Analytics – Senior ETL Developer (Informatica PowerCenter & Talend)

The opportunity

We are looking for an experienced ETL professional with strong expertise in Informatica PowerCenter and Talend to design, develop, and maintain robust data integration solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing concepts, and performance optimization techniques.

Your key responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter and Talend.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and data architects to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
  • Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading from multiple sources into target systems.
  • Optimize ETL jobs for performance and reliability.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with organizational standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve ETL issues in production and non-production environments.
  • Document ETL processes, mappings, and workflows for maintainability.
  • Ensure continual knowledge management and contribute to internal learning and development teams
  • Building a quality culture.

Skills and attributes for success

  • 3 –7 years of hands-on experience in ETL development with Informatica PowerCenter and Talend.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and performance tuning.
  • Experience in handling large datasets and complex transformations.
  • Familiarity with job scheduling tools and version control systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • BE/BTech/MCA/MBA
  • In-depth understanding of data management and data migration concepts.
  • Experience of working in minimum one Insurance domain projects with strong experience of data analysis, profiling.
  • Very good understanding of the concepts and technology around data extraction, data migration, data transformation, data load, data profiling, data quality management and metadata management.
  • More than one year of experience on ETL and Data migration/warehouse projects
  • Good communication skills, proven ability and commitment to working collaboratively towards common goal.
  • Possess effective planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Multi-tasking attitude, equally comfortable operating from within both the technology & business environments.
  • Focused on a quality outcome, excellent inter-personal skills and highly motivated.
  • Business Rule Analysis and Design experience.
  • knowledge on Data Modelling and UNIX/Shell scripting experience

Ideally, you’ll also have

Worked on at least one end to end migration project.

Understanding of Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing and Master Data Management.
