The opportunity

When you join IT professionals of EY Tax team as Technical Analyst, you’ll provide to local and global clients IT perspective on the complex, ever-changing world of tax. By combining the power of EY Tax experience with innovative technology, you can help us transform the tax function of the future.

Your key responsibilities

• Participate in the meetings with clients’ senior technical, scientific and engineering staff to develop an understanding of the innovative R&D projects implemented by them.
• Based on the received information provide assistance to EY Team describing IT related R&D projects implemented by the Clients.
• Assisting with the sales process through identifying potential targets, arranging internal and external meetings, and articulating the benefit of Innovation Incentives through client meetings and proposals
• Delivery of high-quality advice and solutions to all types of clients, ensuring management of risk and reputation.
• Assisting with automation of tax and accounting processes using various programming languages and tools.
• Delivery of advice and solutions to all types of clients to automate and optimize their internal processes.

Skills and attributes to thrive in the role

• A university degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 1 – 3 years of experience in the IT industry, academia, or a research organization.
• Knowledge one of any programming languages and hands-on experience.
• Strong written, spoken, and conversational English as we work with international clients.
• Permission to work in Latvia and ability to travel to other EU countries.
• Strong communication skills with the capacity to work collaboratively with diverse team members across different countries.
• Ability to adapt quickly and learn about varying technologies and industry sectors, accompanied by strong writing proficiency, attention to detail, first-time accuracy, and robust analytical skills.
• Ideally, experienced in handling industry challenges like software development life cycle (Agile and Scrum), code reviews, testing, and operations, past work as a back-end or full-stack developer for a better understanding of our clients’ operations.

Salary: EUR 1550 - 1950 EUR gross (depending from the experience)
