About the opportunity

The FSO team at EY Vietnam supports banks and financial institutions in:

• Risk analysis and risk management (credit, fraud, operational, etc.)
• Regulatory reporting and compliance
• Financial data analytics
• AML / Anti-fraud
• Applying AI & Machine Learning in banking

We are looking for Fresher / Intern Data Analysts who aspire to grow their careers in Data & Risk Analytics.

What will you do?

• Support the collection, cleaning, and processing of financial and transactional data
• Write basic SQL queries for data extraction and analysis
• Support building reports and dashboards (Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools)
• Participate in data testing and reconciliation to ensure accuracy
• Assist with data preparation for risk analytics or fraud detection use cases
• Support basic steps of building analytical / machine learning models (data preparation, feature creation, basic model evaluation)
• Present analysis results under the guidance of senior team members

You will receive training and guidance throughout your work.

Requirements

• Final-year student or recent graduate in: Finance, Banking, Economics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, IT, or related fields
• Basic knowledge of SQL or prior experience working with data
• Basic understanding of Excel; knowledge of Power BI / Tableau is a plus
• Foundational knowledge of statistics or machine learning (regression, classification, etc.) is an advantage
• Interest in banking, finance, and risk management
• Logical thinking, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Bonus points

• Participation in academic projects or internships related to data analytics or machine learning
• Knowledge of Python or R
• Basic understanding of concepts such as credit risk, fraud, AML
• Understanding of banking products
