Job Description: Software Engineer (5+ Years Experience, 1+ Year Omniverse Experience)
Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer with 5+ years of overall industry experience and at least 1 year of hands on experience with NVIDIA Omniverse. The ideal candidate has strong software engineering fundamentals and practical exposure to building or integrating simulation, digital twin, or 3D workflows using Omniverse technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain applications or pipelines leveraging NVIDIA Omniverse, USD workflows, and real time simulation technologies.
- Build and integrate extensions, tools, or microservices that interact with Omniverse Kit, Nucleus, or related components.
- Create and work with Universal Scene Description (USD) data structures and real-time 3D assets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (simulation, AI/ML, data engineering, platform engineering) to deliver robust software solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable code and perform code reviews to ensure high quality and performance.
- Debug, optimize, and enhance existing modules to improve stability and throughput.
- Contribute to architectural design and technical decision-making for Omniverse based workflows.
- Stay updated on NVIDIA ecosystem advancements (Omniverse, RTX, digital twins, simulation frameworks).
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- 1+ year of hands on working experience with NVIDIA Omniverse, including Kit, Nucleus, USD, or Extension development.
- Proficiency in Python or C++ for building Omniverse applications or extensions.
- Strong understanding of 3D graphics concepts, real-time rendering, or simulation workflows.
- Experience with REST APIs, microservices architecture, and modern software engineering practices.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and modern development tooling.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with digital twin workflows (manufacturing, robotics, industrial IoT).
- Knowledge of NVIDIA Isaac Sim, RTX rendering, or physics simulation (PhysX).
- Understanding of DCC tools (Blender, Maya, Unreal, Unity) or 3D asset pipelines.
- Exposure to cloud-based simulation, containerization (Docker), or orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with AI, computer vision, or LLM-based workflow integration (RAPIDS, NIM preferred but optional).
- Strong problem-solving ability and experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
