EY Namibia is seen as one of the leaders in technology consulting. As one of our Data Analysts, you will be working with clients to improve the competitive advantage of their operations through assisting them with new technologies in the form of comprehensive data analytics and process automation.

What you will be doing

  • Develop an understanding of Namibian and international business environments.
  • Contribute to data preparation, validation, and quality‑assurance steps across analytical engagements.
  • Apply safe and compliant handling of client data in line with EY Data Privacy requirements.
  • Apply structured problem‑solving to identify efficiency opportunities and process improvements.
  • Assist the external and internal auditors to extract, transform and load client data onto EY Data Analytics tools.
  • Consistently maintain an up-to-date knowledge of new technology improvements in the field of Data and Automation.
  • Work closely with clients to build and maintain long term relationships.

What we require

  • BCom Degree is required.
  • A degree in Engineering or Data Analytics/Science, or equivalent, will be an added advantage.
  • Experience or interest in Python or Alteryx for data transformation and automation will be advantageous.
  • Exposure to cloud‑based data platforms (Azure, AWS, etc) or willingness to learn modern data stack tools (SQL-based cloud warehouses, data modelling frameworks).
  • Ability to translate analytical results into clear business insights through strong data storytelling and presentation skills.
  • Experience working with relational databases
  • Extraction, transformation and loading experience
  • A basic understanding of accounting or internal audit practises
  • Strong logical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn new digital tools quickly.
  • High degree of emotional intelligence.
  • Business analysis, awareness, and commercial focus.
