The opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join a banking program focused on transaction management across the trade/ transaction lifecycle (from capture and validation through reconciliation, settlement, and reporting). You will work with cross functional teams to elicit and translate business needs into actionable requirements, strengthen control frameworks, improve data quality, and support delivery from design through testing and go live.
Your key responsibilities
- Elicit, document, and prioritize business and non functional requirements; translate them into user stories and acceptance criteria; prepare use cases and process flows.
- Analyze end to end transaction lifecycle processes (front to back).
- Provide subject matter expertise on securities post-trade processes including clearing, settlement, corporate actions, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Risk, and Technology stakeholders; manage expectations and provide clear, timely communication and reporting.
- Facilitate workshops, working groups and stakeholder meetings to drive alignment on scope, priorities and delivery timelines.
- Produce high quality documentation and contribute to knowledge transfer and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare and execute test assets (system/UAT/E2E), align with QA on test coverage, and validate outcomes against acceptance criteria.

- Strong communication skills in English (C1).
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst (or closely related role) within banking/capital markets, with hands on exposure to transaction management from trade capture to settlement.
- Experience in driving improvements and/or automation.
- Ability to analyze transaction data and investigate issues to identify root causes and propose remediation.
- Demonstrated stakeholder management and cross team collaboration across Operations, Finance, Risk, and IT.
- Experience preparing and executing UAT/E2E test scenarios and coordinating defect resolution.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Familiarity with payments and messaging standards (ISO 20022, SWIFT MT/MX), cash management, and exceptions handling.
- Knowledge of regulatory and reporting contexts in banking.
- Experience with data lineage and data quality frameworks in financial services.
- German language skills (B1+).
