Location: Katowice / Wrocław / Warszawa - 2 days office / 3 days remote
Let us introduce you the job offer by EY GDS Poland – a member of the global integrated service delivery center network by EY.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to strengthen our Financial Services Technology Consulting capability in Poland, with a focus on Wealth & Asset Management, capital markets operations, post-trade transformation and asset servicing.
This role is designed for candidates who understand how securities operations work in practice and can translate operational, regulatory and technology-driven change into clear business requirements, process designs and delivery-ready documentation.
The opportunity
This is an opportunity to join a growing Wealth & Asset Management and capital markets delivery capability in EY GDS Poland, supporting international transformation programmes for leading financial institutions.
The role is particularly relevant for candidates with experience in securities services, custody, settlement operations, asset servicing, fund administration or post-trade transformation.
You will help clients simplify operating models, improve process efficiency, support regulatory and market infrastructure change, and enable better collaboration between business, operations and technology teams.
Your key responsibilities
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will support transformation initiatives across investment operations, post-trade and asset servicing. You will work closely with client stakeholders, operations teams, technology teams, testers and delivery leads to define requirements, analyse processes and support successful implementation.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead requirements gathering and analysis workshops with business, operations and technology stakeholders.
- Analyse current-state processes and define target-state operating models across post-trade, custody, settlements, asset servicing and related investment operations areas.
- Document business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, process maps and operating procedures.
- Support business process mapping, customer journey mapping, requirements lifecycle management and solution evaluation.
- Work with testing teams to define test scenarios, support SIT/UAT preparation, validate business outcomes and assist with defect resolution.
- Collaborate with client teams and delivery teams using tools such as JIRA, Confluence and Visio.
- Support proposal, mobilisation and delivery activities for nearshore and hybrid delivery models.
Skills and attributes for success
To be successful in this role, you should combine strong business analysis skills with practical understanding of investment operations. You should be comfortable working with senior stakeholders, translating complex business problems into structured requirements, and supporting delivery teams through implementation and testing.
You will make an impact through:
- Strong understanding of post-trade operations, custody, settlements, asset servicing or securities services.
- Ability to translate operational requirements into clear business and functional documentation.
- Structured, consulting-style communication with business, technology and testing stakeholders.
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to work across process, data, technology and operating model topics.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- 5+ years of experience in Financial Services, preferably in Wealth & Asset Management, capital markets, securities services, custody, fund administration or investment operations.
- Hands-on Business Analysis experience, including requirements elicitation, process mapping, functional specification, stakeholder management and supporting delivery teams.
- Good understanding of at least two post-trade / investment operations areas, such as settlements, asset servicing, custody, fund administration, securities lending, clearing, Treasury & FX, corporate actions or reconciliations.
- Experience supporting testing or business validation, including SIT, UAT, regression testing, test scenario definition or defect triage.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Prior exposure to either: T+1, market infrastructure, settlement acceleration, regulatory change or large-scale operations transformation.
- Experience with platforms or tools used in investment operations, such as, for example: Aladdin, SimCorp, Charles River, Multifonds, Eagle, Broadridge, FNZ, Investran or eFront.
- Experience working in international, nearshore or multi-location delivery models.
What we look for
We are looking for someone who is both structured and pragmatic: a person who can speak with operations teams in their language, challenge unclear requirements, and turn complex post-trade topics into clear delivery artefacts.
The strongest candidates will be comfortable working across business and technology, proactive in identifying delivery risks, and able to build credibility with client stakeholders through domain knowledge, precision and ownership.
