The opportunity

As a Technology Business Analyst at the Manager level, you’ll act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, this role is responsible for gathering, analysing, and documenting business and system requirements, identifying process improvement and automation opportunities, and ensuring technology solutions align with business objectives.

The role supports the full solution lifecycle, from requirements definition and design through to testing, implementation, training, and user adoption, while maintaining key project documentation and business analysis artefacts. It also provides trusted advice to stakeholders, facilitates informed decision-making, and drives continuous improvement through data-driven insights, innovation, and best-practice recommendations.

This is a hybrid position based in Naarm – Melbourne

Your key responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of business processes, technology solutions, and projects, ensuring quality outcomes, governance compliance, and effective risk management.
  • Partner with stakeholders, SMEs, and technical teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into practical technology and data solutions.
  • Support end-to-end project delivery through planning, business analysis, stakeholder engagement, testing, deployment, and change management activities.
  • Produce key project documentation, facilitate workshops and user adoption, and where required, lead teams and oversee complex technical initiatives to achieve business objectives.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Strong business analysis capability, including stakeholder engagement, requirements gathering, process modelling, gap analysis, and solution design.
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and technical documentation.
  • Experience delivering technology projects across Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies, including UAT, SIT, and deployment activities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience identifying process improvements and driving operational efficiencies.
  • Technical proficiency across SQL/NoSQL databases, Python, R, Power BI, Power Platform, Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft 365, supported by excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.

  • Experience working in enterprise data platforms, analytics, cloud, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Knowledge of Azure services, data integration platforms, and reporting solutions.
