Director Technical Quality AssuranceWhat does a successful Director Technical Quality Assurance do at Fiserv?
You will lead a team dedicated to ensuring the highest quality standards across our technical projects and services. You will play a pivotal role in implementing strategies, driving quality initiatives, and optimizing resources to meet our business goals. Your commitment will help us continue delivering innovative, reliable solutions to our clients, aligning with our mission to support life in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
What you will do:
- Manage people operations, including hiring, firing, performance reviews, compensation, and promotions.
- Implement and execute strategic functions and critical business-wide strategies.
- Guide, plan, and direct the business unit, maintaining budgets and proactively allocating resources.
- Provide project updates and progress reports to the team and management and ensure accountability for quality-related metrics.
- Coordinate testing and engage in discussions with developers on architecture, defects, enhancements, and other issues.
- Provide leadership on moderately to significantly complex projects and coach and mentor direct reports and subordinates within functional units.
- Work on high-complexity projects within multiple testing environments while demonstrating high productivity and effective multitasking across various initiatives.
- Define team strategy and align resources to meet strategic goals.
What you will need to have:
- 10+ years of experience in quality assurance and testing, with 8+ years leading teams, projects, and quality initiatives.
- 10+ years of experience working with information systems elements (hardware, software, and/or network) and business functions, processes.
- 10+ years of experience with testing tools used to manage and optimize QA and testing teams.
- 10+ years of experience successfully supporting IT functions and business units.
- General knowledge of the Fintech industry and related regulatory considerations.
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience and/or military experience.
What would be great to have:
- Subject matter expertise in mainframe and distributed testing, automation, and performance activities.
- Experience in payment services with a focus on high-volume transaction processing.
- Knowledge of SDLC methodologies with the ability to work within an agile environment.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot defects through expert knowledge of business rules and programming logic.
- Demonstrated ability to refactor existing processes to improve quality or reduce costs.
