Director, Software Engineering - DNA DevOpsWhat does a successful Director, Software Engineering do at Fiserv?
You will develop and implement a strategic vision for DevOps automation, leading a team to design, deploy, and support efficient DevOps solutions. By driving continuous improvements in versioning, build management, automated deployments, and configuration management to enhance process efficiency and reliability, your efforts will enable development teams to deliver enterprise financial software systems more frequently with high confidence in both client-hosted and cloud environments.
What you will do:
- Develop and execute a strategic vision for modernizing DevOps through CI/CD automation.
- Drive the design and implementation of continuous deployment to a scalable and reliable cloud architecture, delivering a Software as a Service (SaaS) operating model.
- Lead a team to define and implement DevOps best practices, processes, and standards across a multi-team development organization.
- Design, implement, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines with Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management.
- Ensure system quality, reliability, performance, and security through proactive software engineering measures wile advocating for collaboration and continuous improvement.
What you will need to have:
- 13+ years of software engineering/DevOps experience with 7+ years direct experience in tolls like TFS, GitHub, Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, and Docker.
- 7+ years of experience designing and building automated CI/CD pipeline solutions.
- 7+ years of experience with DevOps best practices, including branching strategy, version management, and configuration management.
- 5+ years of experience leading teams in the Software Engineering /DevOps domain.
- 5+ years of experience with deployment strategies like blue/green, zero downtime, , and canary releases.
- 5+ years of experience with Agile framework and Scrum methodology, along with persuasive communication skills to influence cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of work, education, and/or military experience.
