Job Title
Credit Risk AnalystWhat does a successful Credit Risk Analyst do at Fiserv?
As a Credit Risk Analyst, you are responsible for reviewing incoming merchant processing applications and assessing for decision. As the subject matter you will work from a queue of incoming applications to ensure they are processed within a timely manner. Utilize 3rd Party resources to verify business operations and demographics.
What you will do:
- Analyze credit risk data to identify trends and potential risk factors.
- Develop risk assessments and provide recommendations to mitigate risks.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk management policies and procedures.
- Manage their individual underwriting queue and decision applications daily.
- Utilize sensitive information (credit reports, Lexis Nexis) to aid in decision making.
- Communicate with sales partners, merchants and processors to resolve Risk/Underwriting inquiries or issues.
- Review application documentation and reports to assess credit risk exposure to Fiserv and make sound decisions.
- Assist with short and long term projects as assigned
What you will need to have:
- 1-2 years of card process experience
- 1-3 years in merchant processing or financial industry
- Experienced reading credit reports and reviewing financial documents.
- Strong proficiency in risk management tools and software.
- High school diploma or equivalent, and/or equivalent military experience.
What would be great to have:
- 3 years of experience with financial risk modeling
- Knowledge of Card Brand regulations
- Microsoft Office Suites, Excel experience
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards
- Proficiency in SQL or other data analysis tools
- Card Processing Experience, on the other hand, refers to the technical and operational aspects of handling card transactions. This includes the processes involved in accepting payments via credit cards, such as payment gateways, transaction processing systems, fraud detection, and compliance with payment card industry (PCI) standards.
This role is not eligible to be performed in Colorado, California, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Nevada, Rhode Island or Washington.
