What Does a Successful Business Analyst Do at Fiserv?

We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst to evaluate interchange qualifications and address issues related to merchant submissions. This role is pivotal in ensuring the effective application of interchange rules and regulations across all card brands on Fiserv platforms. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise to reduce financial risk, improve client satisfaction, and maintain Fiserv’s reputation as a trusted partner in financial services technology.

What You Will Do:

  • Determine root causes of downgraded and reclassified card transactions and effectively communicate findings to clients.
  • Trend client performance in relation to interchange qualifications and provide actionable insights.
  • Validate test files during key timeframes to support upcoming changes and mitigate impacts.
  • Collaborate with various departments to provide guidance and recommendations for issue resolution.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of interchange processes and rules.
  • Trend client performance for poor interchange and thoroughly research and effectively communicate root causes to our clients.
  • Confirm and validate test files during key timeframes to support upcoming association changes and reduce various impacts.

What You Will Need to Have:

  • 1-2 years of experience in financial services or a related field such as banking, credit card processing, or a credit risk environment.
  • 1-2 years of experience with card interchange processes and qualifications.
  • 1-2 years of experience in root cause analysis and performance trending.
  • 1-2 years of experience in communicating technical information to clients.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field and/or equivalent military experience.

What Would Be Great to Have:

  • Experience in a client-facing role within financial services.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • 1-2 years of experience with card brand rules and regulations.
  • Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP or equivalent).
  • 1-2 years of experience with transaction processing systems

Salary Range:

$38,200.00-$51,300.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in Maryland. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ. Certain Positions are Commissions eligible.
