Performance Test Engineer, Tech Lead

About your role:

In this role you will assist in managing the DNA platform performance testing activities and configuration. You will maintain performance testing environments and participate in performance enhancement initiatives, working closely with the development team to help them in bottleneck identification and quality improvement initiatives of client commitments.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage end to end performance testing project, design the test scripts, managing and configuration of test environments, design the test scenarios, workload modeling and execution of test scenarios in Loadrunner or Jmeter
  • Analyze the application/Hardware under test, the performance testing requirements and project acceptance criteria
  • Work with the development team to help them identify the performance bottleneck in the application and present the test results to the stakeholders
  • Undertake the initial installation and configuration of the performance testing tools and Monitors
  • Provide input in the system integration, Solution and operational test plans for system integration, solution integration and operational Acceptance test stages
  • Design test scenarios and produce a project test plan for the testing and Setup the data pools necessary to drive the execution of the tests
  • Execute the tests, collate results from the performance testing tools, and produce analysis report
  • Analyze results and interpret the findings to facilitate application and environment tuning
  • Record, parameterize and correlate the test scripts specified in the test plan. Liaise with development and environment teams on technical issues
  • Draft testing progress reports and other client communications. Support and train other performance testing staff, including techniques and tools
  • Enable high performance and technical execution, collaborating with Quality Assurance Project managers and Configuration Management team, ensuring top quality deliverables for performance testing
  • Improve internal processes adhering to Agile methodology
  • Work closely with the senior DNA Quality Assurance team to develop and implement performance testing strategic plans

Experience you’ll need to have:

  • 5+ years of experience in Performance Testing
  • 3+ years of experience with OpenText, Loadrunner, and Apache Jmeter
  • Knowledge of programming languages and database: Loadrunner, Jmeter, IIS Server, Oracle
  • Experience with monitoring tools: Dynatrace, Perfmon, dot trace and Appdynamics
  • Experience with multiple protocols supported by Loadrunner (HTTP/HTTPS, Web Services, .Net)
  • Experience with Microsoft .Net/C-Sharp programming
  • Understanding of creating and administration of the Loadrunner Enterprise environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience that would be great to have:

  • Experience working with FinTech or Financial Services/Banking products
  • Knowledge of Database tuning and analyzing the AWR reports
  • Experience working with Windows and Linux based servers hosted on cloud
  • High task orientation (organized, methodic, prioritized, knows how to deliver results on time and according to the work plans)
  • Good communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Ability to cultivate professional relationships with internal as well as external stakeholders
  • Ability to adapt and work in a highly dynamic environment
  • Conflict management

How you’ll work:
