Sr Professional I, Systems EngineeringJob Description:
Production Support Engineer will, in collaboration with a multidisciplinary Production Support team, be responsible for the deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, automating and maintenance of critical enterprise application platforms in production.
Roles:
- Have strong troubleshooting skills and leads the path to root cause identification; makes recommendations for long-term resolution of problems across platform.
- Involve in various change deployments for application enhancements/to fix issues reported by downstream or end users.
- Support in resolution of incidents and problems within the team. Assisting with the resolution of complex incidents. Ensuring that the right problem-solving techniques and processes are applied.
- Recommends strategies for process and monitoring improvement.
- Performs deep dive application review and provide feedback to enhance the quality of application code artifacts.
Candidate requirements
- Integrated Infrastructure Admin Tasks involving Windows IIS server.
- Good understanding of Web Hosting
- Server Health check and housekeeping.
- Server Patch Validation, pending patch installation and Server reboot.
- Clearly and precisely communicate complex ideas to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Incident, Problem and Change Management and triaging of issues
- Release and deployment of S/w
- Good understanding of batch processing tools like CA7, Control M & AgentRc
- DR Testing and Support
- System monitoring enhancements
- The T2 resource will be added to on call once the person pick up knowledge
- Good understanding of SQL.
- Hands-on experience on batch and python scripting (nice to have).
- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Good understanding of networking.
- Experience with create and manage windows services.
- Support and maintenance of large-scale production and pre-production infrastructure.
- Building and configuring new windows servers
- Experience with log parsing technologies like Splunk, etc.
- Experience with tools like AppDynamics, Dynatrace or equivalent tools.
- 5+ years total engineering, production management and administration or similar experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or technical degree or equivalent work experience.
- Must be ready to work in shifts and over weekends whenever required.
